Katrina is the founder of Kids Art Room Geelong. She is a passionate artist, published illustrator and art educator. She holds qualifications in Fine Art (Federation Uni, Ballarat), Early Childhood Education, Business Management (Deakin University) and a postgraduate degree in Visual Communication Design (Deakin University).

Katrina is an award-winning freelance illustrator based on the beautiful Bellarine Peninsula in Victoria. She illustrates for a range of clients with a focus on children’s books and homewares. Katrina’s picture books are published in Australia, New Zealand, UK, and the USA.

Katrina has been teaching art to children for almost 10 years and in 2024 she launched her dedicated children’s art studio in East Geelong ‘Kids Art Room Geelong’.

Kids Art Room Geelong offers fun and engaging art classes for children, teens and adults in a warm and nurturing environment. Katrina is passionate about inspiring her students in their love art and the creative process. Her aim is to unlock each child’s artistic potential to express their creativity and develop a lifelong passion for the arts.

Katrina also enjoys visiting schools across the Geelong region and running art workshops for all ages. She is a passionate educator who loves to share her knowledge and enthusiasm of art and picture book illustration with others.
